Warm stones and scent
Himalayan Salt Stone Therapy uses warm stones. If you’d like to try it, tell the therapist how much warmth feels comfortable and ask them to adjust if you need. Aromatherapy uses essential oils; if you avoid fragrance, ask what will be used before adding it.
Cupping and exfoliating oil
Cupping uses suction against the skin. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health notes that it can leave marks and has possible side effects. Ask how it’s performed and what to expect, especially if you have a skin concern.
The exfoliating oil option has a scrub texture. Ask about ingredients if you know you react to certain oils or skin products.
